Terms and Conditions — FootPrints

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the FootPrints mobile application (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1) The Service

• FootPrints enables users to discover stadiums, save and review matches and stadiums, and personalize content (e.g., nearby stadiums).
• Public football data is sourced from API‑Football via RapidAPI. Such data may be subject to third‑party terms.

2) Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental consent.

3) Accounts and Security

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or misuse of the App.

4) User‑Generated Content (UGC)

• You may submit reviews, ratings, tags, comments, and photos.
• You retain ownership of your UGC. By submitting UGC, you grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, display, and perform your UGC in connection with the App and our business, including for promotion and improvement of the App.
• You represent and warrant that your UGC: (a) is lawful, accurate, and not misleading; (b) does not infringe any third‑party rights; (c) does not contain harmful, hateful, violent, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate content; (d) complies with applicable laws.
• We may remove or disable UGC that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

5) Acceptable Use

• Do not misuse the App. For example, do not: (a) attempt to access accounts or data without authorization; (b) reverse engineer or interfere with the App; (c) use the App for illegal purposes; (d) submit spam or malicious content; (e) bypass security or rate limits.

6) Intellectual Property

• The App (including design, text, graphics, and software) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App unless expressly permitted by us.
• Trademarks and logos (including club crests and league marks) may be the property of their respective owners.

7) Third‑Party Services

• The App integrates with Supabase for authentication and data hosting, and with API‑Football for public football data. Your use of these services may be subject to their terms and privacy policies.

8) Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error‑free, or that data will be accurate, complete, or up‑to‑date.

9) Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from or related to your use of the App.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid (if any) for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) 50 EUR.

10) Indemnification

• You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your UGC, or your violation of these Terms.

11) Termination

• You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App.
• Upon termination, Sections 4 (UGC License), 6 (IP), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) survive.

12) Changes

• We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., in‑app notice). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of [your country], without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules.
• Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [your city/country], unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
